Personal Care Assistance

Diamond Star Care Services provides a number of services to help and support individuals who may need some assistance at home. Looking after oneself can have a positive impact on a person’s general sense of wellbeing.   Our professional care staff are here to help and support you or family members with any typical day-to-day tasks. This may mean some help is needed in the morning with showering or it might be some support at mealtime with food preparation or feeding.  Our team of personal carers can lend a hand.

All our staff at Diamond Star Care Services understands the importance of providing a safe and respectful level of care each day. We recruit staff who are not only professionally qualified, but show a level of commitment and dedication in delivering a personal level of care in a considerate and respectful manner. Short-term home care for the elderly is available whether it’s  for one hour, a few days or a few weeks. This may be necessary to provide 24-hour live-in care for a loved one who needs more support, or if you are planning a holiday and require carer cover while you are away.

Convalescence Care

Convalescence care, or family carer replacement is sometimes necessary following surgery, or for older adults with an illness that requires more time to recover before returning to independence. We take great care in providing home care assistance that is tailored to individual needs and adapted as your loved one returns to health.

Respite Care

Respite care is usually short term, and provides a much-needed break for many family carers. We understand how important it is that your loved one receives the best possible in-home care while you are away. We take the time to tailor a personalised care plan for each of our clients, taking into account specific needs, daily routines, and preferences.

Long Term Care

Home care for the elderly in their own home is a popular long-term alternative to residential care homes. The cost of care at home may also be less than you think, comparing favourably with care home fees.

Palliative Care

When a loved one has a life threatening illness and is reaching end of life, we have a team of trained and experienced carers and registered nurses who are qualified to provide palliative care at home. Palliative care is about providing a better quality of life to those in their final stages. It’s also about supporting their carers and families in this difficult time.

The level of care is tailored for every individual, and will depend on the needs and desires of the person, family members and friends.  Palliative care ensures the person is comfortable and safe.  We strive to reduce any suffering, and ensure a peaceful and restful environment surrounding by the people and the things they love.
